Inscriptions

1. How can I sign up to the Marseille Cassis ?

Registrations start :

  • on the 1st of March 2012 on the internet site.
  • Paper registrations will be taken into consideration by the SCO Ste Marguerite starting from March the 1st 2012.

To receive your registration documents, please send a stamped self addressed envelope to:

As soon as possible the number of registrations reaches 15,000, the registartion procedure will be closed.

2. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration ?

YES, confirmation is sent to all runners.

This document will contain the personnal data of the runner and the race number. This will be needed to pick up your race pack.

3. How do I pay for my registration ?

All inscriptions must be accompanied by a payment:

  • Either by cheque if sending by post.
  • By credit card if paying on our internet site.
  • At the SCO Sainte Marguerite, cheques and cash will be accepted. 

4. Who can sign up ?

The race is open to licensed and non-licensed runners born in 1994 or before.

The final league table of results will be based on different age categories.

5. How much does it cost to register for the Marseille Cassis 2012 ?

    The registration cost per runner is :

    • 35 euros without participation at the "Firms Challenge"
    • 36 euros with participation at the "Firms Challenge"

    Running

    1. Is a medical certificate is necessary ?

    YES, or you must be have a current license and correspondent to the rules of the race. 

    • Registered member of the French Federation of Athletism (competition, health-leisure with running option, pass-running) and licensee of the French Federation of Triathlon: Provide your current registration (2011/2012 season)
    • Registered member of FSCF, FSGT or UFOLEP (French Federations) : Provide your current registration (2011/2012 season) where it is clearly stated "ATHLETISM" and the medical authorization
    • Registered member of the French Federation of Athletism (health-leisure with health option) or Registered member of others federations or non Registered member: Provide a medical certificate dated of less than 1 year and valid until October 30th, 2011 where is must be stated "no contraindication for athletism in competition or running in competition"

    DON'T FORGET: ANY OTHER MENTION OR OTHER SPORT REGISTRATION WILL BE CATEGORICALLY REJECTED

    These certificates will be held, either as the original or a photocopy, as proof of the runner's competence and in case of accident.

    2. Is there a time limit ?

    Runners have a limit of one hour and a half hours to ascent the "Col de la Gineste " and three hours to complete the whole course. When the vehicle marking the end of race passes, any runners behind must conform to the "normal" rules of the road.

    3. How can I pick up my race pack (race number and sport bag) ?

    • You can only do this at The Village in Hall 2 at the Parc Chanot in Marseille. No race pack will be sent by post.
    • You should go to the stand marked "RETRAIT DOSSARDS".
    • To collect your race pack, you must produce your medical certificate. 
    • To collect the race pack of another runner, you must have all the documents aforementioned PLUS a mandate from the runner allowing you to collect their pack. 

    4. When can I visit the village ?

  • Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October 2012 from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm
  • Saturday, October 27th, 2012 from 09.00 am to 8.00 pm
